What is a Slat-mill Treadmill? Our Slat-mill treadmills are specifically designed for dogs. They have a pully/belt system that allows the treadmill to move without a motor. This means the dog has complete control over their speed and when to stop at all times! Making it customizable per pooch!
-
Are they forced to run?Nope! That is the beauty of slat-mills. We use fun things like toys, treats, and affection to encourage them, but it is completely their choice to participate! Here is a video of Prince showing you his skills on the mill!

What are the benefits? There are 6 main benefits to running your dog: Convenience, Exercise, Mental Stimulation, Relaxation, Improved Behavior, and Safety. CONVENIENCE - Being mobile makes using our services more accessible and saves you time! Whether your pups need extra exercise, you're going out of town, feeling sick or the weather isn't ideal, we can provide your dog its mental and physical needs. After hanging out with us, your pup will be ready for snuggles! EXCERSISE - Run your dog with us! A slat-mill is a great supplementary workout, in addition to their current routine! Think about what your goals are for running them with us. This can include muscle gain, weight loss, or burning their endless energy. We recommend checking with your vet to make sure their are no health concerns for your pup doing this type of exercise! MENTAL STIMULATION - Learning to walk/run on a moving surface is not an easy task for your dog! Using our treadmill is a great way to engage your dogs brain while also exercising! Most dogs are bred to do a specific job. Since the slat-mill requires much focus and coordination, its a great way to itch that need for a job. A busy dog is a happy dog! RELAXATION - After your dogs workout with us, they will likely be feeling accomplished and ready for a nap! Making home-life a bit more relaxed for everyone. IMPROVED BEHAVIOR - Dogs who are bored misbehave! By supplementing their routine with sessions with Bark N' Go, you will likely see a decrease in stress and destructive behavior. After a session with us, a small training session might be more effective with the dog relaxed and attentive! SAFETY - Our bus provides a safe space for the dogs to be themselves and run to their hearts content! The unpredictable weather is no issue for our air conditioning and heating systems, keeping the dogs comfortable! This is also ideal for reactive dogs to try new things in a controlled environment free form triggers!

How long are sessions?Newbie Package sessions are 20-40 minutes long depending on how your dog likes it! It usually takes a pup about 15 minutes to start moving at a steady pace. However, this is case by case and we will always end the session when the pup is doing really well, to ensure the next session goes even better! Athlete Package sessions are 30 minutes long. By this time your dog has built its confidence in the slat-mill and can get a full workout! Whether its walking, trotting, sprinting, or a mix!

Do you monitor for overheating and exhaustion?I sure do! I have an air conditioner and a heater to keep the van at comfortable temperatures. I also provide water. As for exhaustion, the dogs are able to stop whenever they are tired. I do stop the treadmill and make dogs take a break if I suspect they are overworking.
